United Women in Faith (UWF) is a faith-based membership organization of laywomen within the United Methodist Church. Our bold sisterhood is committed to growing spiritually as disciples of Jesus Christ in a welcoming and nurturing community to all. United Women in Faith (formerly United Methodist Women) has been in mission for more than 150 years, advocating on behalf of women, children and youth around the world.
Our Lake South District is a part of the Northern Illinois Conference (NIC) and includes a total of 58 United Methodist Churches in the Chicagoland area and its surrounding south, north and northwest suburban areas. Over half of our UMC within the Lake South District have active local UWF units.
