From an early age, B. Sharp became intimately acquainted with the devastating impact of trauma. As a teenager, she survived the harrowing experience of rape—an ordeal that left deep emotional scars but also uncovered a wellspring of strength she never knew she possessed. Her journey through pain didn’t end there. Later in life, she found herself surviving domestic violence and the loss of her oldest son. Yet through it all, B. Sharp refused to be defined by her wounds. Instead, her experiences became the catalyst for a profound calling: to help others find healing, hope, and freedom from the chains of trauma. Professionally, B. Sharp has worked as a shelter advocate, responding to the urgent calls of women caught in the cycle of domestic violence and sexual abuse. She listened with deep empathy, offered comfort, and guided women toward safety and new beginnings. Each conversation and crisis intervention deepened her conviction that no woman should have to walk the path of healing alone.
Out of this conviction was born Rise Strong, B. Sharp’s trauma healing ministry dedicated to supporting victims who feel silenced, broken, and unseen. Through Rise Strong, she offers practical resources, spiritual guidance, and compassionate support for survivors seeking to rebuild their lives and rediscover their worth. Beyond her ministry, B. Sharp has written Echoes of Faith: Women of the Bible Speaking to Women Today. In its pages, she draws powerful parallels between the struggles of biblical women and the modern-day challenges faced by women seeking healing. Her writing weaves timeless lessons of faith, resilience, and hope, bridging the wisdom of Scripture with the needs of today’s survivors. She is a warrior with a pen, a survivor with a purpose and a voice for the voiceless. As a mother, grandmother, survivor, and advocate, B. Sharp brings her whole heart to this mission. She stands as an ally, a sister, and a guide, offering women a safe place to heal, rebuild, and thrive. Her journey continues, and she invites all women to walk alongside her, believing that together, we can rise, heal, and step into the fullness of the lives we were created to live and to become who God designed us to be and live a life where we thrive, not merely survive.
