In our knowledge of death, we stand in the presence of the incomprehensible. But we recognize that your presence encompasses us in every phase of our lives, from birth to death, from death to eternity. Therefore, we rejoice in the One who walks with us every step of our way, in this life and the life to come, Jesus the Christ. Amen.

God of grace and God of love, we thank you for everyone gathered here today to participate in this opportunity to learn and to grow. May there be a spirit of joy and enthusiasm among us.
Dear Lord, allow the power of your Holy Spirit to be strong in us, opening our spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear things deeper than what is on the surface. With the gifts of discernment and enlightenment, may we be guided in our service to you, making sure that our plans and purposes are in line with your will. Lord, we ask for open minds to think wisely and to work with the spirit of understanding, cooperation, and peace. Be in our midst as we act together and inspire each other to excellence. May we be reminded that we are your ambassadors, put here on earth to live lives immersed in worship, trust, and obedience. Fill our hearts with love, patience and peace. In the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen |

Father, thank you for your power which is at work in us.
Thank you for equipping us and calling us according to your good purpose.
Give us your strength and peace today as we keep our minds stayed on You.
It is by Your divine power Father, that You have given us everything
we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know You,
the One who has called us by means of Your marvelous glory and excellence!

A Prayer for His People

All praise glory and honor to YOU, God our Father in this Season of Advent! Children of God prepare the way for the Servant Messiah, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who was born into this world for the forgiveness of our sins. Who brings the truth in love, peace on earth, and hope with the overflowing power of the Holy Spirit.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for who YOU are. We thank YOU for being born into this world. And we thank YOU for Your ultimate sacrifice so that we may live. Father, forgive our iniquities and place the truth of Your Word on our hearts. Grant us eyes that see and ears that hear. And teach us to be true servants and guide our paths clearly with a renewed Spirt and obedient hearts. All power and authority belong to YOU and our faith is in YOU, Dear God. We ask for good health and the healing of our bodies from the top of heads to the sole of our feet for all who are in need. And we ask for the healing of our mind and spirit for all Your children. Father there is no burden too heavy for You to bear and we release them all unto You. Cover us in the Spirt of love so that we may share the gifts of joy, peace and hope in this blessed season and beyond. Father, we ask that you bless the hearts and hands of all who serve in Your Name. We ask that our spirits be lifted and that every soul is touched with a loving kindness that is pleasing unto YOU. Let us prepare the way for Jesus is coming. Jesus the love of our lives is coming. May the Light of the World touch the souls of every nation, of all humankind and Father God let our souls feel its worth. Place Your mercy, love and grace upon us Dear God. We ask that You hear this prayer, and we ask it all in Your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. |

Prayer for the New Year
Dear God,
On this day I ask You to grant this request?
May I know who I am and what I am, every moment of every day.
May I be a catalyst for light and love, and bring inspiration to those whose eyes I meet.
May I have the strength to stand tall in the face of conflict, and the courage to speak my voice, even when I'm scared.
May I have the humility to follow my heart, and the passion to live my soul's desires.
May I seek to know the highest truth, and dismiss the gravitational pull of my lower self.
May I embrace and love the totality of myself? My darkness as well as my light.
May I be brave enough to hear my heart? To let it soften so that I may gracefully choose faith over fear.
Today is my day to surrender anything that stands between the sacredness of my humanity and my divinity.
May I be drenched in my Holiness and engulfed by Your love.
May all else melt away.
And so it is.

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, One belonging to me and one to my Lord. After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints. This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me." He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you Never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you." |
